Engine one is full throttle. Engine two is full of cake batter.

For any and all who dare step into the ring, I present to you the grandest championship of them all;

What, or who did I do to end up appearing on this flyer twice you ask?
Why, with my newly possessed and fairly marginal photoshopping skills, I sorta made the damn thing, that’s what..
And call me an optimist, but if you go, I don’t think you’ll have to look very hard to find B-Rad in this exact same position.
Now then- I may have previously mentioned that I will be adjourning to the North this weekend, and I wasn’t just blowing smoke. No, you see Friendly Paul is getting hitched soon, and someone had the bright idea to have FP’s bachelor party in Portlandia. This could become problematic for a number of reasons.
1) It appears as though Loudass is orchestrating the whole thing.
2) There never seems to be any shortage of trouble to get into when I’m there.
3) We’re kicking the whole thing off at a Zeke/Dwarves show;
(I’d include a video but couldn’t find one that does as much justice to my favorite of the two bands as this here 7″ from my collection.)

Though this one’s pretty good;

Anyway, to continue with the list..
4) Peeler bars a’plenty.
5) Cheever.
As my liver begins its futile and frantic attempts at escaping, I can already hear the impending car crash of a weekend from here. As always, I will have a full report for you at some point after my return.
When specifically however, I am unable to say.
Though to have some idea of what might transpire, I urge you watch the following video, but insist that in place of the original audio, you listen to this.

Anyhow, as long as my feet are on the ground, and my hands remain uncuffed, I will continue on with today’s post as if this perfect storm wasn’t brewing.
From Jim I got this email that answers nearly two decades with of questions;
“Finally, it’s explained.”

That’s one less thing that will keep me up at night.
In bike related news, Michael Green from The Bike Blog NYC gave me a shout to announce that his venture has just turned six years old;

Congratulations Michael. Happy anniversary, and here is to six more.
My main man Brado (who I should note is not only the mastermind behind my AHTBM caps but the upcoming AHTBM socks as well) recently put my design needs on the back burner for a moment in order to throw together this fiasco;

Oh, you say you can’t ride because it’s too cold?
What’s your excuse now?
Oh, and by the way,

As the non-sequeter express comes to a stop, I present the WTF heard around the world from Embrocation‘s Twitter.
Yeah, I have Twitter, though I’m reasonably sure there’s a pill for that.
I also can’t neglect to remind you that the sun is setting on this contest that I’m putting on in conjunction with Mission Workshop.
Though technically I am illegible, just to help the ball continue rolling, I constructed this offering of Buford T. Loudass, Frog Makabagal, and myself;

Send your entries in now.
Don’t make it so I win my own prize.
In closing, Mr. Blacksocks sent me the following image that gave me pause.
Every so often I come across someone whose work forces me to reevaluate my own direction as an artist. This is one of those times;
cookiemilitia.jpg
Unfortunately I don’t have a name attached to give proper credit, so if by chance any of you might know who is behind this greatness, I’m all ears.
‘Art that doesn’t suck’ doesn’t even begin to describe it.
*Editor’s note* The artist is Paco Pomet. My readership is the smartest in all the land.
Ok then, I can’t take it anymore..
I hope you all have fantastic weekends. Keep it between the ditches and so fourth.
I will catch you on the other side..
Or I won’t.

    I had a “Blood Guts and Pussy” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Guts_%26_Pussy) poster on my bedroom wall during college… More than one girl beat a hasty retreat after seeing it hanging there. In hind sight, it’s a wonder I ever got laid.

    Alright, Stevil. What did you do with Loudass’ extra chins?
    Oh, wait a minute. Looks like I’m wearing ’em.
    Sorry about that.

    Standing Order: I will pay any stripper in Portland $200 to dance to the entire track of Electric Wizard’s “Dopethrone.”

    Hey Stevil,
    How did that artist know that those guys would be that pissed that they would have to be taking their Toyota back for the recall.

    Get Stupored, MPLS!!! You too, Stevil.

    ZEKE YOU.
    “Kicked in the Teeth” and “Flat Tracker” have definitely gotten me through lots of stupid LT sessions on the trainer. The only way I can handle that pain is with some dudes ragin’ about motorcycles and drinkin’ at 200 bpm.

  11. clarky February 5, 2010 at 12:09 pm #

    Please don’t make Chevil puke again when you are in Portland this weekend. He’s skinny (and smelly) enough as it is.

  12. Pinto February 5, 2010 at 2:53 pm #

    Two things:
    #1-I will add $100 to Loudass’ request, and raise you a Supercoven. Must have video proof.
    #2. If ever there was a double-bill worth flying to PDX for, it would be Zeke/Dwarves. All Hail Donny Paycheck.
