Well I’ll be damned.

Surprisingly the feedback on Friday’s post was overwhelmingly positive so in response, I knuckled down and scanned the second and only other issue of the aforementioned fanzine. In my opinion the second offering was considerably more well done, and featured a broader smattering of topics, though still generally looked like shit.

This of course isn’t to say that the cover done by master Jason Jagel himself was anything other than brilliant, but when armed with only a xerox machine and a broken stapler, the results tend to fall on the side of rustic.
Anyhow, as you will find I began to develop a bit more flow than issue number one and was graced with interviews with The Pants, (now Drunk Horse), the oft regaled Garry Scott Davis, as well as a slew of other bike and music related nonsensery. Peruse at your leisure.
Ultimately, these magazines were what this website became.

Once again, I thank you for the opportunity to air these closeted skeletons, as they have been in there gathering dust for a very long time.
They’re happy to finally breathe.
Unless I get a seriously wild hair, this will be the last of these for a while, but I suppose anything is possible. I have alot of variations sitting around here.
Before we part ways, and while it’s fresh on my mind, my almost premiere as a profhessianal writer is upon us with a feature in the newest issue of Bike Monkey Magazine;

There is a bunch of other stuff in there as well, but I honestly haven’t read any of it because I’m still so dazzled with my own article.
I hope that good weekends were had for one and all. Because of Monday’s holiday, the regular posting schedule got gunked up, so in light of that, we will catch you on the Thursday or possibly Friday side of things.

    I had a jumpsuit like that in high school, but in navy blue. Cut the sleeves and pantlegs off and everything. It rode up my ass just walking around school. I can only imagine how it’d be on a bike.
    I guess that’s half the fun, though, huh?

    Ever seen someone try to wheelie a bike with a front tube full of water?
    Ever watched a drunk rent-a-cop try to belly dance?

    Oops,
    new computer, new settings, I think I just submitted a blankety blank comment, oh well.
    What I was gonna say was:
    first off, this stuff is freakin’ awesome, and, er…second off, the Ferrentino piece spoke directly to me. I have done many of those “techs” and have had many done to me. Hot dog in the seat tube was always a rotten-stinking classic, but best I ever saw was water AND quikrete in a front tube. The time and ridiculous meticulousness involved still boggles my mind.

    I am still in possession of Geno’s Soulcraft. I think I might get to tinkering.
