A feeling of fulfillment.

jump-for-joy

Do you ever feel so good about stuff, that you just have to artistically document yourself leaping into the air in front of a perfect sunset?

That’s EXACTLY how I felt on Friday. There I was with a great big bag of orders to take to the post office (but for real, thank you to everybody who placed orders), and for the first time in a while, I looked upon my finances not from behind clasped fingers, and a gaze of non-dispair, but rather one of hope, and inspiration.

I immediately cranked up the telephone and email machine and got the gears turning on a few new projects which I’m really excited to see come to fruition. One of which I’m really, REALLY excited to see come to fruition. This is the kind of thing that will propel both this site as well as its audience into the annals of history as potentially having the greatest cultural impact since The Bible®.

Think I’m exaggerating? You might be right, but then again, because we’re all only human and have no crystal ball, we have no way of knowing what effects we’ll have on the future.

When Bill and Ted first conceived of The Wyld Stallions, or moreover said “be excellent to each other“, do you think they knew that would eventually become society’s credo?

No sirs and ma’ams, they did not, and with that point made, I think I’ve sufficiently rested my case.

And because I’m work, work, work, work, working’ on my shit, here is an image of the lovely talented Iggy Azalea, just ’cause she can relate;
iggy
My favorite are her songs about pizza.

Anyhoo, it all should start trickling out within the next couple months or so, and for that, I’m real damned thankful.

Now, with the recent news of 3 billions gallons of tracking waste water getting injected into California’s aquifers just coming across my plate, (‘deflated’ doesn’t begin to describe how I began feeling between writing that last sentence, and this one), I’m gonna limp my way through the rest of toady’s post and then go bury my head under the covers.

I mean, can anyone at all tell me? Are we just totally, and hopelessly screwed?

The more I thought about this, the more I reflected on the Bush family’s procurement of one of the largest aquifers in the world, and how destroying aquifers in California could potentially be a systematic effort by billionaires and banks to help corner the water market.

I think I’m gonna be sick. The more we talk about this, perhaps the better off we’ll be.

It was a chore to pull myself out of that and to continue to, but a bike blogger douchebag (same diff) has to do what a bike blogger douchebag (same diff) has to do, so we’ll press on.

In a recent back and forth with Ryan from Twin Six, I sent him a file which he couldn’t open, so I suggested I open it, take a photo of it, email it to myself, print it out and fax it to him.

He responded in kind;

You and Lalonde… getting me all mixed up with technical mediums today. Took me about 12 minutes with cameras in both hands to get this shot this morning.

As long as we’re on the topic of Twin Six, we’ll slide over to a brief reminder regarding the city in which they are located.

If anyone happens to be in, around, or headed to Minneapolis on the first of next month, get on the best foot and make it through the Homie(Y) Fall Fest;

It’ll probably be like this;

The Homie(y) is super fun. It just happens to be the dangerous kind.

Though if you wind up at White Castle in the wee hours of the morning with Zito the following day;

-it mostly lends to be the latter.

Finally in closing, I’d like to offer a couple of images of Demonika’s and my scouting mission yesterday, as we plotted a course for Saturday’s hairnet ride;

The facial expression in that second image is one of ‘my husband is a dick‘.

But not to worry. It’ll be easier on Saturday.

Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s with that declaration that I would like to continue engaging in a solid course of poetically depicted joy-jumping.

    all that talk of aquifer destruction to corner the water market reminded me of Tank Girl. I hope Lori Petty will show up to save us all.

    I remember when AC flipped over that year. I believe it was him. All of his beers emptied out of his pack and those folks watching on at the bottom scooped them all up. Tough love Homie.

    When you have the heads of multi-nationals like Nestle stating that water is NOT human right, well, you know where it’s headed.
    Don’t buy bottled water!
