A storm of sh*t.

My ‘i’ key seems to be broken.

But that’s not enough to keep me from starting a revolt*on.

I kid. My i key is fine, but one thing I do not kid about is starting revolutions.

My friends, you and I are at the cusp of brave new times which call for brave new action.

Doing my part, I myself vow to take action, and implore others to as well. What started as a declaration for a late-starting New Year’s Resolution has since blossomed into a full blown personal campaign of change.

I ask each of to follow suit, and from this point forward simply reply to each text you receive with this image;

Like my hero Margaret Mead so eloquently stated, and as I’ve regularly stated here, “never believe that a few caring people can’t change the world. For, indeed, that’s all who ever have.

Brothers and sisters, together we can fan the flames of revolution;

Not having to do with either of those things, and relating specifically to my own backyard, I’d like to offer a very heart felt 14th anniversary to my dear friends from Oakland’s FTW Tattoo shop.

On Saturday they held a little celebration while small crowds of people drank beer, ate pizza, and waited in line for their turn under the needle;

For my part, I eventually made the scene after taking the long and slow to get there;

I arrived armed with a congratulatory bouquet of assorted and delightfully smelling flowers. Once they were safely in water, I drank their beer, and made conversation with an assortment of folks, the sound of four constantly buzzing machines serving as a background soundtrack.

It was a nice way to spend an afternoon, and I want to again offer the good people at FTW my best wishes.

Certainly if you yourself need some sort of imprint or another on your body, they would be my reccomendation. Over the years they’ve been more than willing to allow the me the freedom to permanently scar my body with whatever bad decision I choose.

Though it doesn’t have anything to do with questionable life choices, but more so about quality human beings in general, over the weekend I came across the following clip featuring just about one of the most quality human beings I know;

You know, for that matter, and to her initial point of not being one who is particularly nostalgic, I know for a fact that a bunch of her old GT race bikes are sitting, locked away in a garage, and Juli would be more than willing to let them go should there be a collector out there who would care for them.

Like for example this bike, which I know is one of them because I’ve seen it;

If you, or your LBS, or your neighborhood watering hole would like to inquire about how to go about procuring your own little slice of history, get in touch with me and I’ll see if I can facilitate a deal.

In news of cyclocrossingness, the attentive among us might have noted that the 2015 Cross World Cup went down this weekend and as any betting individual could have guessed, van der Poel whooped up on everybody in the elite men’s race;

This grab may or may not have been taken from this year’s race. I literally just woke up and then promptly fell into the final two laps of a Dutch feed, the screenshot from which looks entirely different than images from other news reports. Since nobody comes here for accurate reporting however, I suppose no one should be surprised by this.

And Eva Lechner emerged victorious in the elite women;

Of course because I don’t care about women in cycling, I slept through the entire elite women’s race, and then fumbled around looking for a feed that was in English because as we are all aware, the UCI hates America.

That aside, I’m happy to report that despite Hoogerheide’s muddy conditions, not a single tree was injured.

Or, should I say *njured?
