One that is short and sweet.

Because this week’s first two posts were pretty heavy on the content, (here and here for those who care), I’m going to take a slight break and announce that in my ever-evolving quest to make and do and produce cool shit (stuff I think is cool anyway), I’ve once again donned my curator cap and have scheduled a project in two weeks time at San Francisco’s NWVSF Gallery which I encourage any and all to attend.

It was in this post that I detailed a fantastic book that had then recently been released featuring photographs by New York photographer Anthony Tafuro of the ever mysterious Barrier Kult;

The attentive present might recall this post in which SHUTUPBRIANQUINN regaled us with his experiences at the New York reception.

I suppose it was around this time that I made contact with Anthony to discuss the possibility of bringing his work to the Bay Area for a one night reception and book signing. We hashed out a few details, and after a bit of hand wringing and piggybank smashing on both of our parts, we have an engagement scheduled in just two weeks time right here in the Bay Area;

I’ve purchased a limited selection of books which Anthony will be on hand to sign, and rumor has it that some of the BA.KU. might even be in attendance as well.

For any additional information that you might seek, please make note of our Facepalm event page.

So in my effort to make zines, and branded bikes, and soft goods, and records, and a host of other endeavors promoting artists, and movements of which I find of value, this is the one that currently stands front and center. Please mark your calendars and/or spread the word.

If we had hearts, Deer Man Of Dark Woods, Anthony, NWVSF, and I would all thank you from the bottom of them.

    Damn that the Gothic font makes the statement in and of itself. Add flames, skulls and such and it’s easily becomes core-bro-extreme-white trash.

    Wait, what’s the difference between the Barrier Kult and the Manwolves?
