Just ordered my copy. what a blast from the past. Stu, Greg, Fiola, Osborne were all bigger than life when I was a kid and are all responsible for my 30+ year love affair with bikes. Can’t wait to watch it.

True. Timmy Judge, Mike Buff, Harry Leary, Mike Dominguez, the O.M, Bob Haro… Truly the salad days of genuine superstars.

Stu Thomson signed ABA number plate from the late 1970’s mounted over the work bench, it has survived many moves over the years, where diplomas etc have been lost along the way… priorities…

In only that way that kevin bacon can really know, I bought my first MTB off Stu many moons ago at his shop there in the hordlle(sic) of SoCal. More to the point however, mother fucker sold me a 18 incher for full pop. Seems his abilities lost something in the transition from track to retail. Still, I love the man who gave me the ability to bust out o’ the burbs as a kid.

Stu-pid! I liked Stu Thompson but how many documentaries in this format can a person stand? No doubt this will consist of a series of nostalgic has-beens saying things like, “He was the greatest rider, a true legend, I thank my lucky stars I knew him.” Rollins, Ian Mackaye and Thurston Moore have already perfected the role so well, whether they road BMX bikes or not, I think they should be cast as the “stars.” Hilariously, someday I will probably watch the thing.

Got the DVD two days ago. It’s great, even though I was much more of a Greg Hill fan back then, you’ve gotta give Stu props. haterscanbiteme
