*Please note- I’m still on a steady diet of Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen. This is good, because otherwise the pain from the incision points, and the all of the shenanigans that went on inside of my leg would be crippling right now. The downside is that I feel drunk all of the time and completing a cohesive thought is well out of my wheelhouse. So while I have a post here, it was all written while half in the bag, which is about a quarter more than I’m used to.*

Welcome to the first ever post written entirely on a laptop which was actually sitting on top of my lap. Now, being a Virgo, I don’t like change. None of my people do. We come from a long line of people who were skeptical about advancements in technology, like for example, (and among other things) clipless pedals, suspension, and CDs.

How this ends up relating to my work station is, I prefer my mouse and mouse pad, and knowing the few shortcut key strokes that I do. I feel like if the UPS man came up my steps and peered into my window, my couch-bound and hunched over form might later be described to his co-workers as ‘a monkey humping a football‘.

Lucky for us, I don’t have to detail any of said amorous activities, and I can get right back up to speed with the mailbag and the following offering from Cranpa of FBM Bikecycle Company;

Colt Seevers,

Here is a video, and a link to a photo gallery from this weekends bicycle bro downs, FBM hosted a DIY bowl jam in the rain, and a session at some dirt jumps, in Richmond VA, behind the sanctioned BMX track;

If you wanna share any of it, have at it.

Hope you are feeling alright, hows that old man leg?

And to that I say, “our Cranfather, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.

And to think I considered all those years going to church a waste of time.

Personally, I prefer a different kind of church, similar to the one that JS goes to;

On a sunny but chilly Sunday morning in WI, here’s to all the AHTBM crew who’ve had a rough go of it over the past month.

Thinking of all you boys and girls.

Keep it real folks. And enjoy the small things;

It seems as though not only is our church the same, but the communion is pretty close as well. I hate Bud Light, though I do understand the importance of finding any port in a storm.

But backpedaling just a bit to my point regardig Virgos not liking change, specifically regarding CDs- I know vinyl is all popular with the kids again and everything, but I literally didn’t own a CD player until 1999, and that was only because there was a ton of music that just simply wasnt being released on vinyl.

As a matter of fact, an old skateboarder buddy of mine named Isaac took to calling me ‘CD hater’, because every time we’d bump into one another at the record store, I’d have an arm full of vinyl, and would be bitching incessantly about the fact that half of the titles I wanted weren’t available because of the music industry’s conspiracy against me.

Well, it turns out it wasn’t just a paranoid theory, and at least in this regard, the music industry does in fact suck a mile of ball.

Anyhoo, folks who’ve been paying attention might remember in this post when I declared that All Hail The Black Market was at that point a real, honest to goodness and bonified record label with my first release imminently coming down the proverbial pipe;

This point was confirmed all the way around yesterday afternoon with the arrival of the test pressing, which I promptly attacked and found to be looking and sounding like so;

As near as I can tell, this is pretty much what we (the band and I) had in mind. A green light should be given by the end of the week, so at that time, the trigger will be pulled on the entire project and with any luck, the completed album will be in your hands by the time I’m walking again.

In the meantime, though my slippers are awesome, and the gamma rays from my computificator will assumredly melt my balls, at least the soundtrack will be agreeable.

    I’m glad you acknowledged the awesomeness of your slippers. They pretty much jump right out at a guy.

    I’m glad you’re on the mend and that Buddie is cuddling nearby.

    The fastest route to recovery after a surgery like that is lots of Cap’n Crunch and Perry Mason.

    For quick pain relief just snort those babies. Burns a little like cheap coke or so I’m told. ; )

    We gave a friend of ours (he loves bud light) some of those slippers for his birthday. We have found that they are good for golf. You can walk through a sand trap and not leave a mark. We play once a year for no apparent reason other than to use the slippers. I still owe you $5.00. Check is in the mail.
