I thought Jules was leaving Surly. Glad she is around to blast out the truth.

If the second sock of the pair was two dudes in similar attire, that might have been funny. Because Vegas. That said, I have a strong dislike for all things Vegas. Because eew.

If anybody has a pair of this socks that they don’t want, I would be interested in buying a pair.

    FUCK YES CHRISTINA

As a hot stuff real deal lady, I deal with bullshit repercussions of media campaigns like this all the time. Many men are wishful, they really do want to believe that I’m like that girl they saw in the ad or billboard or in that mag – approachable and always willing.

    FUCK NO.

I will fuck each guy up who comes at me next because I’m beyond sick of it. My muscles are bam, the table is in the air flipping, and it’s flipping straight for his dropped chin. Yeah, I’ve been to Interbike. It was super gross and I felt like a piece of meat. I’ve also ridden through the entire Portland bike scene, yellow bike to BikeShare. I’ve been around, I’ve seen things, I’ve been affronted and assaulted. The sexism is rampant, and I strongly believe it’s fueled by our media.

When I take a long hike in the woods with boys, they treat me like a human being, not a piece of meat. And I do believe that’s because they’re taken away from the ads, the billboards, the mags. They’re not reminded that I might be some eager and willing ho. And they’re confronted with the fact that I’m doing the same work they are, with often better result. I get respect. Fuck bikes, I hike now.

I thought that you might have something to say about the blatant attempt to keep women out of cycling.
    Christina nailed it.
With such talented designers and artists within the bike industry, I am amazed that this could happen.
I say next year to make up for it…. UniPorn Socks. Sorry can not post a like to UniPorns I am at work, you will have to look for yourselves.

Kind of hypocritical that you will bitch about this, but you have and ad for Knog with 2 guys holding locks like their dicks all over your website. It’s nice and easy to stand against something when it doesn’t cost you any money.

Please… That’s a considerable stretch. Plus it’s a man and a woman in the Knog ad. If you find that offensive, you might not want to turn on the news, or for that matter, ever leave your house.

      Troll alert.
