What’s good?

Lots of stuff, not the least of which (currently in my mind anyway) are the lyrics to this particular song;

Who’s gonna teach you how to dance?
Who’s gonna show you how to fly?
Who’s gonna call you on the lame-dope-smoking, slackin’ little sucker you are?

Who’s gonna get you from behind? Who’s gonna ring your little bell?
Who’s gonna con you into buying a television set revolution they sell?

When are you gonna blow the game? When are you gonna blow the screen?

When’re you gonna tell them that the crap doesn’t wash, and you’ve found a way to make your own dreams?

The crap doesn’t wash and you’ve found a way to make yourself scream.

Well I died a million times, and I picked my culture well, and I built myself a gate.
They can all now go to hell.

I’m never gonna work another day in my life. The gods told me to relax. They said I’m gonna be fixed up right. I’m never gonna work another day in my life. I’m way too busy power tripping, but I’m gonna shed you some light.

For this specific discussion, this song reminds me of the Jim Carrey movie ‘Liar Liar’, or maybe more appropriately ‘Office Space’. That is to say, from the time I heard the lyrics, they at least partially acted as a catylist for change on an almost cellular level, and from that point forward I was unconsciously committed to continuing my directive of doing no harm, but taking no shit, and unapologetically forging the path that’s ultimately brought us here today.

Of course all of this was brought on in waves upon my recent return home, and finding this waiting for me in my office;

Am I over thinking it? Maybe, but the facts are the facts, and I thank Mr. Wyndorf for penning the words that helped open a door in my mind, that was thanks to the dogs in the dog-eat-dog world, up until that point maybe a wee bit stuck.

Now, with all of that being cleared off my mental plate, let’s get on with business.

Can any of you who care to recall remember the last two years of Hairnet Rides?

There was last year’s;

And the year before that;

I reckon this year will be much the same as the first, in that it will be a mellow short roll, with lots of time for reflection.

If you’d like to mark your calendars, please note that it’s cracking a bit later this year than it has in the past, and actually occurs in two weeks;
2015HNR
That will give you ample time to dig through your aunt or uncle’s attic to find the one they used to wear in the 80s or whatever.

Or go hunting through the interwebs… The interwebs has everything.

Speaking of which, I’d like to remind folks that I have some amazing new goods in the store that would love to find a home with all of yinz. Not in any particular order we have these jerseys (in both black and grey for either mens or womens) that are now available for any and all who so desire;
ahtbm_jersey_gray_F_1_1024x1024
ahtbm_jersey_gray_B_1024x1024
ahtbm_jersey_black_F_1_1024x1024
ahtbm_jersey_black_B_2_1024x1024
Though I can’t say for sure that they are guaranteed to make you as good looking, if not more so than the featured models, I can at least promise that it’s a pretty good bet.

We also have the AHTBM/NWVSF curb crusher skateboard deck;
NWVSFAHTBMdeck
Which is good for all your ankle spraining needs.

If sore ears are more your speed, then you might be interested in the new Who Rides The Tiger wax, which if I do say so is rock and roll perfection;

You know… If you’re into that sort of thing.

So with that, and as the curtain falls on these here words, I guess now that we’ve come to the conclusion of today’s effort, the only question that remains to be asked of the universe, The Man, or any who might have a hand in holding you back, is when’re you gonna tell them that the crap doesn’t wash, and you’ve found a way to make your own dreams?

    If you haven’t heard Dave Wyndorf on the Best Show on WFMU give it a listen because he’s so damn funny.

      It sure was. Good eye. My dad had a subscription, and I still have that issue, which is where I scanned the images from.
