Today’s post was gonna be an epic masterpiece.

Not a great American Novel type of epic masterpiece, but after so many days away, it was gonna be something more than nothing. Alas, these days, something more than nothing is about all I can muster.

You see, I went to visit and spend the day with Leroy’s girlfriend, and in a weird and divinely painful sort of way, Leroy himself;

After parting ways with her, I found myself in possession of one of his bikes, all of his bike stuff, some ashes, and heaviest of all, the backpack was carrying when he hung himself.

Needless to say, I’m out of gas.

At some point I hope to get back up to speed, but these days I find myself getting taken out by wave after wave of pain, so as to stick with the water theme, forgive me as I tread until it settles down a bit.

Two items I’d like make note of however are that one Wednesday I went to the sew shop to check up on the status of our wool jersey. I’m happy to report that the pieces are all cut and the chest and cuff pieces are back from embroidery. The sample should be being sewn today, and full production should if not today, then definitely by next week;

As I noted on the Instant Grahams, I made one small adjustment after the order window closed, and in tribute to Nick Cave, that was to change the embroidery on the right cuff from black to red.

If you don’t get it, that’s fine. If you want your money back, that’s fine too and you don’t deserve one anyway.

Finally, and back to Leroy for a second, as has occurred any time a messenger past or present has died, we’ll have a memorial ride from South Park to Mission Rock where we make an offering to the Bay in their name and honor.

Leroy’s will be tonight, and any who would like to attend are welcome. Meet up at South Park at 6:00 (I don’t remember if it’s meet at 6:00 or roll at 6:00, so I’ll get there at 5:00 just so I can drink a beer first).

So with that, live it up, be good each other, and be good to yourselves.

Spread this like it's sick

    That’s a great picture of that boy on the bike. Nice to be remembered that way.

    That it hurts so much is a tribute to Leroy.
