Everything’s gonna be ok.

Wow, oh wow. What a complete shit show the last month has been, knowhatImean?

At times I felt like I was trying to swim in cement/breathe under water/insert adage illustrating impossible task here.

Remaining upbeat in the face of a daily onslaught of personal challenges was no small task, and for a time I considered wiping my entire professional existence (this site, and all varying arms of it), and turning in a resume at my local grocery store.

Shit got real dark.

But as they say, it’s always darkest before the dawn, and my dawn came in the form of Caroline the web guru’s return from a three week trip down the Colorado river. It turns out that on day one of her trip, her bag containing her phone, clothes, and all forms of ID went overboard (No, it was way better than that: my tent containing my wallet, iPhone, 75% of my clothing, and >$500 worth of camping gear blew into the Colorado River in a surprise wind gust. For a minute I chased my tent downstream in the dark, watching it float away — somehow perfectly pitched in the middle of that hungry river. I cliffed out on shore and it was swallowed whole.), so when we finally reconnected, we both mostly just allowed each other to lick our wounds for a couple of days, and I let her know how sincerely happy I was that this latest adventure didn’t do her in.

Anyway, after a couple of (ZERO) days of rest, she jumped into the backend of my site, buffed out all of the rough edges, and we’re here before one another back to normal, leaving most things right with the world.

Or at least this portion of it.

That said, to everyone who has reached out asking how they can help, by all means, go to the store and buy one of everything. After making approximately zero dollars this month, I’m about a sneeze away from living in a refrigerator box.

I have the new skateboard decks landing soon, and a very special project I’ve had in the queue for a couple of months, a portion of the proceeds from which will be donated to RAINN.

I’m excited by all of the things on the horizon, but for now, I’m just trying to manage the damage, so if you need socks, stickers, t-shirts, hats, or whatever, there’s no time like the present to place an order;

I suppose finally, and most pressingly, this month’s mayhem has totally squashed the momentum of the wool jersey preorder;

If you want one, get an order in, and I will be submitting it in exactly five days from now.

With all of this being said, (last night) on Sunday evening I was given a bit of a deadline to wrap up the post so that we can do a server swap, which will hopefully result in never having a debacle like the one we just experienced again.
