All work and no play makes Jack something, something.

Hello, and good morn, (day, evening, whatever).

I’ll tell you what- In the wake of the great server meltdown of 2018, I’ve been getting my hustle on in a fashion I haven’t before hustled.

The downside of all of this hustling is that I haven’t had a boatload of time with which to twiddle my thumbs and generate content for today’s post, so I’m gonna wring out the proverbial wash cloth and drip all over you with whatever I can find.

The first order of business is the arrival of that skateboard deck I mentioned a number of times, but most recently on Friday.

Seven of the eight boxes arrived;

-And I promptly threw them in the store, thereby finally unveiling the good wood supplied by Clutch Distribution, and exquisite graphics that were done for me by the esteemed Blk Prjkt;

Holy toledo, that’s a spicy meatball.

Upon their arrival, I had planned on laying low and wading through a few home chores, but ended up going to the spot and handling work of a different sort;

After losing a specific trick for decades, I put my nose to the grindstone (so to speak) and finally pulled out a little revert;

This of course resulted in many more attempts to get one like the first couple I made flawlessly (and neglected to document), sending me in a crash course with gravity and frustration. With a swollen elbow and two bloody knees, I finally packed it up and came home to lick my wounds.

Anyway, as I’ve noted elsewhere, these decks are pretty limited, come with a copy of the new AHTBM zine;

-as well as an assortment of stickers, and will be available until they’re gone.

If you want one, get one. If you don’t, that’s ok too.

Likewise, I’m about to slam the door shut on the (Ron) Burgundy woolie pre-order;

I’ll be submitting the order to my sew shop tomorrow morning (4/13), so if you are dragging your feet on placing a pre-order, act now, or forever hold your pee.

In amongst all of the aforementioned chaos, Jason, Rose, Kurtz, and I got an opportunity to get out into the spectacular hero dirt of Marin County yesterday morning, and turn our perspective dials to 11;

I didn’t realize until after I was home, cleaned up, and back at work processing orders, and writing this post just how desperately I needed that.

In an effort to always steer clear from too much work, and not enough play, I refer yinzers to the quote above this week’s header photo.

The best intelligence test is what we do with our leisure.” -Laurence J. Peter

And that being said, I’d say that we here at this round table are some of the smartest, (and perhaps least dull) of the bunch.

Spread this like it's sick

    Jeeeeeez, the board looks amazing. Honestly, if I purchase one I probably won’t build it up as the graphics are too good to trash/thrash.
