We’re back.

And of course, by ‘we’ I mean me, creepy dummy friend, and the voices in my head.

Hello and good morning/day/evening.

Having spent two full days regurgitating three days of the year’s running of Sea Otter Classic, The Celebration Of The Bicycle®©™, we’ll now switch gears to the standard run of banality that we have come to rely on here on the Always Hug The Baby Mammals web project.

First up, I feel compelled to move this weekend’s One For The Weekend to the front and center, because it’s so damned bananas;

In the aforementioned post, I made comparisons between this- Fabio Wibmer’s latest effort, and those of Candide Thovex, or the video I posted somewhat recently of Tom Wallisch.

In general, I don’t particularly care to watch other people do stuff, but in these instances, I have to make an exception.

Moving on- I will mention that while we were in the throes of Sea Otter mumbo jumbo, I took delivery of a brand new batch of Black Sole socks;

I basically order a new shipment of these every time I get holes in the ones I wear.

Eventually I might do a new design, but I still love these, so these are what I’m going to continue to make.

If they strike a fancy, feel free to order up a pair. I can almost guarantee that you won’t be sorry.

Somewhere in the midst of the last week and a half of chaos, I also got a band new batch of those badass little branded key leashes as well;

These are especially better at keeping your key solidly attached to your person than those dumb curly ones that you get at the office supply store, or steal from Debby in accounting;

I hate those things.

Anyway, the ones I have for sale are also good for twirling around your finger at the restaurant or bar, and then when your order arrives, you get distracted and fling it off into neverland, assuring your bikes stays safely locked up outside forever.

Do as I say, not what I’ve done.

In a pinch, they also make mighty fine cat toys;

You know… If you’re into that sort of thing.

I suppose with that photo up there of Barker doing a blunt slide in mind, I’ll circle back around to this weekend’s festivities;

Origionally I’d intended to knock this bash out as soon as the first chunk of decks arrived, but then I sold out of them. Then I was out of town, then taco maestro Devin was booked, then the new arrival of decks was postponed, and so the universe continued to do what it sometimes does.

Finally, after weeks of starts and stops, all of the planets aligned, and we finally got to cracking on the party, which looked more or less like this;

And that’s more or less the upshot.

With a midnight arrival home, I then found myself unloading my truck of various bits and pieces of the day’s components.

Galvanized bucket, three lone cans of beer, a few decks, camera, backpack, bags of garbage, and so on.

All in all it was a brilliant way to spend a day, and naturally, besides thanking PBR for their never-wavering support of whatever kinda hijinx I ever call on their assistance with, I wanna thank Devin from Tacos el Precioso, and all of the homies who came out to play.

It goes without saying that it was certainly preferable to spending the day either with a creepy dummy, or the voices in my head.

Spread this like it's sick

    I have a pretty good job, but seeing that there’s a career path that could have included tubs ‘o PBR being offered, I find myself second-guessing some life choices.

    Looks like a fun day of the rollerskateboarding and tacos and sketchy ramps and such.

    If there were three cans of beer left, somebody wasn’t doing “their job” properly.
