Moving on.

After a few days in the LA area with my compatriot, and former Ritte Van Vlaanderen impresario, Lanolin Lease Canyons, I’ve once again pulled up stakes and moved this rolling shitshow on down the road. I don’t know where I’m headed, but It’ll likely become clear when I get there.

Before I unscrew the mess that are the last week’s images, I’d like to notify any or all who are interested that I just took delivery of the latest stash of AHTBM merch, being custom leather key keepers from Steer Gear goods straight out of Seattle;

They’re a little more fancy than the proper messenger leashes I have, with the added benefit of gaining you entry into a very exclusive club.

If you would like such a thing, alls you gotta do is go here and place an order. Most importantly, they’re still cooler than the curly one you’d steal from Debbie in accounting, and that should be enough for anybody.

Rest assured, your money will be well spent on gas station burritos, and cheap drugs.

Also, I’d like to mention that after three weeks, and roughly 80 hours of work, the final smattering of the little watercolor paintings are completed, and en route to whoever requested one;

In perhaps an ironic twist, the final one I worked on is set to be delivered to Oakland;

I’m glad to be caught up, but if someone reading these words might enjoy a little painting of their own (complete with smudges courtesy of the USPS, which I consider to be a collaborative effort), my stevil(at)allhailtheblackmarket(dot)com Pay Pal address is always willing to accept a proper mailing address, and $25.00 for one.

If not, then that’s ok too.

So anyway, moving away from shameless begging to visual fodder, I will now present more or less what what days one hundred and forty nine to one hundred and fifty five on the road looked like from this side of the camera phone;

Now, this next image I posted on the AHTBM Instagram feed, and panties both near and far got super bunched;

Firstly, for those of us who are Tom Hazelmyer fans, you might recognize it as a bit of an homage;

Secondly, it was with my encouragement that Lanolin reluctantly agreed to pose, thirdly, it was without a clip, and fourthly, it was a soft pellet gun.

But fear not sensiteevos- I edited the image to perhaps make it more palatable;

Anyhoo, I digress, so will continue on;

Between building about the fanciest blue collar carbon bikes this side of nobody, Hern from MMFG has also been tasked with building the lowers for Paul Stanley, and Gene Simmon’s boots;

No big deal.

And while the aforementioned human was in the throes of organizing the LA Handmade Bike show, (along with co-conspirator, Carlos Velazquez from Dark Moon Fab Works), he’d asked Spencer and me to build him a display for his latest creation, so what follows are a few things I saw during the process, as well as some from the show itself;

And just like that, another week has come and gone. As usual, what the coming few days will bring is anybody’s guess, but I’ll maintain the directive of taking things one step at a time, while just like any of us I suppose, keeping fingers crossed that my head doesn’t explode.

Spread this like it's sick

    My bunches were majorly pantied because of the firearm image, but once a Marine, always a Marine. Gun safety is no joke. Not anti-gun, just anti-accidental death.

    I need that Squareback. It has haunted my dreams ever since you first took a picture of it at the show.
