Every day is the eleventeenth of Whatever.

Before we get into whatever it is we have to get into today, let’s take a moment and circle back around to this post from Tuesday real quick.

While I felt as though the meat of my matter was conveyed in a succinct manner, there were a couple of folks who came through with their own fairly pointed, and accurate thoughts on a couple of observations I had.

Firstly, I’m neither a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. I’m but a lowly bike blog douchebag (same diff) and everything I express here is obviously my opinion, and mine alone. But it was through those aforementioned observations, it was shown to me that the encouragement of healthy dietary habits, coupled with a perspective offered by a company from whom I occasionally buy supplements could have been seen as some sort of magic cure all.

This wasn’t how I read it, and by including it in the post, wasn’t my intention to promote the voodoo. The audience we’ve amassed here is adept enough at critical thinking, that I reckoned it would have been read the way I intended it, and not like some anti-vaxer Boulderite claiming only a proper combination of essential oils, and hugs can cure AIDS, or whatever. I forget that this is on the internet, all walks are free to come here, and perspectives on any given topic will vary wildly.

Unless I make my stance on something as important as this, abso-fracking-lutely clear, it will appear as though I think I know what I’m talking about, which we all are well aware, is rarely the case.

What my intention was, was to encourage a healthy diet, and to describe steps I’m taking, on top of isolation, hygiene, etc. to hopefully protect me and mine.

Certainly, going forward, I will tread more carefully when discussing such topics.

As always, I thank you for your time and consideration on the matter, and I apologize for misinformation I might have fostered.

In other news, I was just recently notified that on the 25th of March, my ace, The Queen Of The Scene, The Monster Of Madison, Gravel’s Own Belle, Ms. Erica Müeller welcomed into the world one Nolan Eugene Wheeler;

As a gift, I ‘shopped the image for her of young blood wearing my prized Scrigno cap, if for no other reason, to illustrate that I was capable of altering an image in a way that (for example) didn’t involve balls dangling from the president’s chin.

So it’s to her, and her growing clan that I wish my most sincere love, and congratulations on this most exciting of occasions.

Having touched on that bit of news, I have a couple more bits of fodder I’ll get to before cutting you loose and getting back to whatever it is y’all do with your days;

First up, the clock is ticking on the new dark deals t-shirt preorder;

I’m planning to submit the order to my screen printer on the 6th of April (that is of course unless we’re still on the shelter in place tip), in which case it might be delayed for a little bit. If you’d like one, don’t hesitate to get your order in, and when we get them, we can start our own softball team.

On the art side of things, it was a few weeks ago that I released an archival print of a drawing I did a couple of years ago;

The prints were snapped up way faster than I thought they were going to be, which totally humbled me.

As sometimes occurs with editions of prints, I decided that I would get a couple of artist’s proofs made, which look kinda like this;

All this means are there are a few prints outside of the numbered edition, usually kept for the artist’s archives. Instead of shiding them away, I thought maybe it would be fun to do a silent auction like the one I did with the record label drawings I did for Will Johnson’s 2015 release, Swan City Vampires;

Instead of the dough either going to the ACLU, or Planned Parenthood this time however, the funds from the winning bid would go directly to a non profit of the winning bidder’s choice. (So long as it isn’t something like ‘Neo-Nazis For The Unethical Treatment Of Animals’ or some such nonsense).

So anyway- I posted a thing on the Instant Grahams with a starting bid of $75 dollars, and there it sat for a few days, not even making a twitch, when all of a sudden it jumped from $75 to $100, to $200, to $300, and now we’re currently at $420 (because of course we are). I’m going to call the auction tomorrow at noon, Pacific time, so if you happen to be sitting on $421 dollars or more that you’re dying to pass on to a specific non-profit of your choice, then by all means, shoot me an email to stevil(at)allhailtheblackmarket(dot)com, and we’ll get you in the running.

And it’s with that, here on the 31st of March we find that up continues to be down, and at least for there time being, down remains up.

Or whatever, wherever, whenever.

Spread this like it's sick

    420??? No way am I gonna let “pile of clowns” fall into the hands of some damn hippie!! Plus my new non-profit, Neo-Nazi’s for the wanton slaughter of Fur seal pups, could really use a financial boost.
