The dog ate my homework.

Here we are at the head of another week, and due to a king sized serving of goofing off these last seven days, I don’t have much in the way of offerings, so instead I’ll just say my birthday week has come and passed, and I was surprised by a full array of friends from near and far.

I can’t recall a time in my recent life when I felt so wholly loved, and I can’t begin to say how much my heart needed it.

And because I’ve been goofing off, and not really paying too much energy into the artisanally crafted barage of jibberjabber that usually lives here, I’ll just instead post a whole bunch of photos, which hopefully will suffice until next week, when I can offer a proper post, maybe.

Before I do that however, I would like for you to feast your eyes on this;

Punk’s not dead… It just costs $2,600 now.

I would also like to share an email and video I received from Cranpa, which I have a suspicion this here readership might like;

Stevil,

Check out this Rumble video, one party rowdy, two parts kind. Another strange direction my life has turned!

Hope you like it, if not- go fuck yourself!

– Wu Tang Cran

If I didn’t like it, I would happily go fuck myself. But I did. I loved it. I have goosebumps. Measuring engine power by the number of its Larry Edgars? Easily the most brilliant thing I’ve heard today.

Anyhü, if you didn’t watch it, go ahead. It’s ok, I’ll wait…

So, moving on with the rest of the stuff- As I have said a number of times the last couple of weeks, I made a plan to have Gaytheist come to town and play a party for my second 50th birthday, (because of Covid, I, like everyone to some degree or another got skunked last year, so I gave myself a rebate;

So we got to cracking on the whole shit show, and it was a real fine time for all of us.

Oh, and for the occasion, I busted out the art show glasses modeled here by Squid Bikes Emily, Mikey, and my old buddy Caro who all came into town just for the occasion;

Emily was just here while on a road trip last week, but since she’s the high powered boss lady of her own bicycle empire, decided to make a return trip back north.

Even though they live many hundreds of miles apart, Mikey and Caro are just kindof a package deal, and have always been the Moe and Larry to my Curly, or something like that.

It felt really cool to have the gang back together

Anyway, once at the venue, we turned the screws;

The following day brought breakfast, bloody marys, rain, more bloody marys, and a day of decompressing over card games. It was a whirlwind of love, and a storm of really, incredibly good souls.

So, while it may seem as if I have kinda phoned today’s effort in, it was with good reason, and if the reasons given weren’t good enough, much like an anonymous fart lofted into a crowded room, I’ll happily continue to blame the dog.

Spread this like it's sick
