The internet killed the video star.

Before we get into today’s effort, I feel compelled to mention that the above featured song has long aggravated me, but because the post’s title is what it is, I did what I had to.

That said, it doesn’t aggravate me like say, ‘Tub Thump’ by Chumbawumba, or ‘What’s Up?’ by 4 Non Blonds, because those two make me want to stab out my own ears with the rustiest of spoons, forever.

I will say that Linda Perry is an absolutely brilliant song writer and musician, which makes ‘What’s Up;’ all the more confusing. I’m sorry if you like these songs un-ironically. I won’t tell you that you’re wrong, but would love to know what you like about them because I’m absolutely befuddled that anyone does.

First things first- as I’d mentioned in previous posts, my friends at the world famous Cabin Tavern hosted a maker’s fair of sorts this weekend, and they very kindly asked if I’d like to take part;

So I packed up all of my stuff, and made my way to the bar and put my spot together;

You wouldn’t know by looking at it, but getting even this little mess organized was hours in the making.

In all of the years I’ve been in business, my wife always helped me with things like this. She was a disarming presence, and was very good at multi-tasking, neither of which are my strong suits. I’m good at slapping hands and shaking babies. Running the entire operation by myself was incredibly bittersweet, but I guess that’s just another of the things about loss.

Anyway, it was a good day with lots of good people, and despite the trend, the weather even cooperated, and everyone had a good time;

I made an emergency supplemental order for WSRW Ts and hoodies for this event that actually never arrived (Thanks UPS), so as of now, I’m positively flush with all my products, as well as have new gloves and hats paid for, and in the pipe.

If you’ve been eyeballing any of the goods in the store, there’s no time like now to order some up. Please take some of this stuff off of my hands, and turn down my stress levels for a piece.

Another rad thing that occurred is a fella rolled through for a chat, and gifted me two scale bikes to bounce out of the back of my little truck;

If it ever stops raining, it’s gonna be a fun spring.

I actually went out for a little rip with Joe and my dad the other day, and it was as nerdy as it coulda been;

Having covered that, I’m gonna let you know that the brand newest episode of Revolting is available for listening right now;

Like always, I’ve listened to it, and I don’t hate it.

Not hating something that I am partially responsible for making is a pretty good start.

Oh, and by the way, because we don’t know how things work, at about an hour in, we have 30 seconds of dead air because we were playing the following video and no one could hear it except us. So, when you get to the ‘Would You Rather’ portion, just play this;

Finally, in closing, Brado emailed me yesterday morning with a reminder that the following documentary existed, and I’m grateful for it;

If you are unfamiliar with the band, then you’re welcome. If you are, which at this point in history is pretty likely, then here’s an hour well spent, and you’re welcome again.

They are certainly a unique machine, and I was glad to get a peek behind their proverbial curtain, as well as getting a load of the town of Bristol. The murals? Holy crap, I’m blown away.

Does anyone reading these words reside there? I feel compelled to come crash on your floor and take a look around.

Anyways for my part, they are a band whose star’s shine was in part due to the internet, and ’round and ’round it goes.

Spread this like it's sick
