News you can lose.

It’s certainly old-ish information by now, but I reckon nobody comes here for breaking news anyway. Specialized Bikecycles just released this thing;

If you like such things, Guitar Ted has some thoughts.

You have an extra $14,000? Cool. Me neither.

So there you have it. While Specialized is innovating or dying™©®, Bianchi is over here in 1994 like, ‘what?‘;

Mark my words- and this is coming from someone who has been teased relentlessly about my dedication to them, suspension seat posts are coming back in a big way.

On the topic of predictions, I don’t know if people have been paying attention, but for the last four years I’ve repeatedly successfully predicted at least half of the Skaters Of The Year, so I’m gonna go big and shoot for three out of five with the declaration that 2022’s SOTY will be Tristan Funkhouser, if only for this move at San Francisco’s infamous China Banks;

If he doesn’t win, I take it back and say I knew it was gonna be Evan Smith the whole time, but if he does, I’ll be the king of the world.

Say, would you like to see the progress of my little Fall Guy truck?

Of course you wouldn’t, but because this is my website, that’s what you’re gonna get;

My nerdienss is damn near nuclear.

Moving on to some real bummer news, (because in today’s world, who doesn’t want more of that?) I got word that this past weekend KC bike hero One Eyed Zeke. pictured here in healthier days;

-was found on the side of the road very badly injured, and unresponsive.

He was rushed to the hospital, and as far as I understand went immediately into surgery. I’ve heard simply based on the extent of his injuries that it was likely a hit and run, though there were no witnesses to say for sure. Either way, I can’t speculate, and it wouldn’t do any good anyway.

What I know for sure is that I don’t know anything besides the fact that a super good dude and integral part of the KC scene is in a world of hurt and could use a strong assist.

Because in this country we have embarrassingly shitty health coverage, when push comes to shove it takes our friends putting together some sort of crowd sourcing situation to help cover medical costs, and other various cost of living expenses that arise when we’re physically incapable of being an unwitting cog in Capitalism’s machine.

If you’d like to throw a ducket or ten towards the old boy, we’d all be very appreciative.

Finally, and before I go I would like to mention that the 49th episode of Revolting is available right this very day;

It might not be as jackassarific as it normally is, on account of that I’d just gotten back from Colorado, was feeling a bit home sick/forlorn, and also was still reeling from the most insane mushroom trip I’ve ever had.

So basically it’s an hour of therapy.

Take it or leave it.

News from a loser.

Spread this like it's sick

    Guitar Ted put on one hell of a gravel event. I feel lucky to have ruined my undercarriage on three of them.

    hey man. Last Sunday, my kiddos and I were headed to the Bham sk8 park around 9:30am ish. At a stoplight, I glanced over and saw a person on a purple bike with white bar tape approaching. Light turned green and as I started to drive on, I recognized it was that internet dude from the swobo days….You. Then my son said, “I wonder if he noticed his board” meaning your clown sk8 deck was visibly sticking half-way out of the jeep way back area. Anyway-small town, small world. I sucked that day at the park. ce la vie

      Ha! I totally did! I mean, I didn’t notice the board, but I definitely saw the boards in the jeep and I wondered what kind of adventure you all were going on.

    I made it to the Meat Wave suggestion and didn’t make it back yet. I have commitment issues.
