A break between exhausted fits.

A break between exhausted fits.

I came across Marshall's Deep Fried part (forgive me. It's 11 months old, so yinzers may have seen it by now) but I have to say, not in all of my years (besides a TFunk clip here and there) have I seen a person ride a skateboard so close to the edge as he;

The one minute mark had me puckered so hard I don't think I'll ever recover.

I'm not afraid to say that there are a lot of things I can't do, but skating switch is probably one of my can'test-ie things for sure.

Maybe one day, because as I have stated elsewhere, in an effort to fully rehab my leg, besides getting back on a bike with considerably more frequency, I went so far get a gym membership.

It's been years since I've a regular relationship with a gym, which by no small coincidence was just about the last time I didn't feel like I'd fallen down the stairs every time I got out of bed. Age comes for us all, though, don't it? I can't do much but stay and stay strong, but as long as I can continue to take a hit, I think I'm doing ok;

Moving on. The current administration and those who support continues to be the very embodiment of a pair of soiled trousers. I'm never not absolutely flabbergasted at the next thing that occurs, is expressed, or wriggles out of the news cycle. I loathe them all, but that's about as obvious a statement as that water is wet. Still, it feels somewhat cathartic make the expression from time to time.

May they all rot.

Up next I would like to remind folks that its Classics season again, and with that, next months running of the 122nd Hell Of The North;

Will Mathieu van der Poel sweep his third consecutive victory?

Based on how our boy showed up in his cyclocrossings races this year, I'd say that's bloody well likely. He's just unstoppable.

Then again, there's always the chance that Joe Parkin (HNH) might come out of retirement and give us a cinderella story;

I've looked high and low for quality photos of JPHNH racing road bicycles for this segment of today's post, and even asking him to shake his sheets for me, but no luck.

If anyone has a large format photo of Joe racing bikes, (or better yet, shoulder checking Davis Phinney into the back of that car);
I'll be forever in your debt.

Also, if you've not read 'Dog In A Hat', (you should), there's point when Joe describes the above depicted incident. After I read it, he and I were chatting one afternoon and I said to him, "I loved all of the stories in the book, but what surprised me the most was that you actually caused Davis to crash" to which Joe responded "huh... I never really thought about it like that before."

Did Joe derby Davis? The world may never know.

Finally, I suppose the time has come to notify you that the very newest episode of the Revolting podcast is now available for general consumption;

Don't say we never have you nothing.
Alas, if anything, it's all little more than a fit between the breaks.

My favorite part is the Jerry(my word for psyco old dudes) appearences at 1:11 and 2:50! Its a master class on how to deal with a Jerry too. Simply don’t react! Nothing takes the wind out of a blowhards sails faster than not reacting. I seem to like the edits that make me laugh as well as say WTF! Good luck at the gym. Most important part is determining if you’re Hans or Frans. Cheers and Happy Fat Tuesday!

It’s so cool to see the scrappy sitting on a board and mossy cobble stones. How many vids can one see slick tricks been accomplished after a hundred wrecks then edited and done thousands of times in slightly various ways. I’m not a skater or a hucker, which figures into how one relates to watching vids. And my liver and kidneys are OEM. Regard less seeing something different is awesome. Redboule would not bother so thanks.
