A pinch of this and a pinch of that.

Prepare your gullets for a feast of garbage.
A new week is upon us, and with it, an array of whatever.
Firstly, I dropped the ball to remind folks that bus past weekend was the 15th annual WSATU celebration, for which I didn't even make a single flyer, nor did I have a plan.
I did post this photo on Instagram however, which immediately got taken down;

The internet hates beauty.
So back to the present. The scene was this- I was hanging out in Donkelope Greg's backyard on Friday afternoon ahead of my evening's bartending shift. I get a heads up that there was an extra ticket for the Monolord show which (spoiler alert) I thought was the following night. I found someone to cover me for Saturday so I thought I'd have a day of wizard staffing concluding with a metal show. I had one moment of pure bliss up until Greg reminded me that the show was actually on that very evening.
Later that night, girl Alex invited me to go camping which I enthusiastically said yes to until I remembered that I worked Sunday morning.
Not ever knowing what day it is or when things are happening has never served me, and is only happening more frequently as time goes by.
So while I had to work through the show, I did also have the entire next day off for full shenanigan related joy;

Also, and I can't remember how it came about, (I think it seemed like a good idea last year) but it's become tradition to throw your staff on your host's roof;

The night concluded with a ramble around town. Stan opted to bring his staff with him and at one point we rolled up to an intersection next to a bunch of kids when one of them said "woah... What kind of bike ride are you guys on?"
I didn't get too many dispatches from people around the land but as I said at the top, I made very little effort to promote it anyway. Just mark the third Saturday of June 2027. I might never know what day it is, but I know what day that is.
Speaking of Donkelope Greg for a second- I posted a photo of this bike elsewhere recently but I think it warrants a mention here. A number of years ago Mike Ferrentino got a Rock Lobster one speed built with as many American made parts as he could find. When Robert Ives built me my Blue Collar cross bike, I wanted to do the same but with parts and frame components all made in California. Paul stem, hubs, and brakes (which I've since swapped out for Avid Shorties), King headset (we still claimed them as a California company), Beer EBB, White freewheel, WTB saddle and tires (not made but based in the Califs) Paragon dropouts and tubing from Nova Supply.;

The cherry on the cake came when I finally got my hands on an Ibis Handjob which Greg expertly attached;

One of a kind doesn't begin to scratch the surface when describing it, and I love it more with every year we're together.
Lastly as I'm want to do, I'd like to present the brand newest episode of Revolting;

I invite you to eat the entire thing in one bite, resulting stomach issues be damned.

@DR SWEETS, I opted to just leave it raw because I didn’t want to strip the frame and get it repainted, though I might at some point because I do love a sparkly purple bike.
I love the (a) hand job (who doesn’t?) and I will admit to preferring the unfinished look of it. If I didn’t know it appears as if a rust ring was appearing around the base, however I think that is just the way it is illuminated in the picture. Battle scars and patinas are better than perfection.
