From the inside looking out.

From the inside looking out.

if you have any interest, here's a brief glimpse into the process of writing a post. I look at a photo I took of Miki Vuckovich from inside of the Bat Cave that's sitting on my desktop, pen a couple of words perhaps relating to introspection, wait for the checks to start rolling in, and we're cooking with daddy.

Frankly, I'm surprised that everyone doesn't do this for a living.

First up, I'm going to repost this video Ive shared before because it's insane and everyone is better for having viewed it;

In a world of CGI and AI schlock, I'm grateful for actual artistry.

Moving on from that to this- For anyone who might recall the article Chris McNally and I teamed up on about the SE Racing bus in the first issue of Hokum Magazine;;

-Then you might also be interested to know that Damon Dayton has painstakingly resurrected it;I randomly came across a photo on IG of Damon's effort which led me down the rabbit hole. The cult of SE is so rad. I'm glad that the flame is still lit all of these years later.

And speaking of which, one of these days Im gonna have one of these;

The brown and blue one is and will always be the apple of my eye. When they went on sale again last year, I sent a link to Donkelope Greg saying I wanted one to which he responded "what are you gonna do with it?" which in all honesty was a fair question.

Am I gonna go to the old man twilight races at the local BMX track? Am I gonna go rip around at the local pump track? Maybe? Am I really just wanting to look at it while thoroughly wrapped in a torrent of nostalgia? Most certainly. It's just a matter of justifying the finances for it, you know?

Mike and Stu would approve;

While we're on the topic of cool stuff that makes us feel good, maybe you'd like to watch Fuel TV's new piece featuring my favorite skater ever;

Since it depicts him filming his Flip part, carrying a flip phone and Steve Olson with black hair, it's obviously not new new, but this is the first time I've seen all of the footage in the same place.

Man, he's just so positive. It inspires me to try and be the same, which I would be if everything wasn't so terrible.

There's nothing about Lance that makes you feel bummed.

Lastly, before you get onto more productive activities, please allow me to present the newest episode of Revolting;

Because there's something Robot and I do well, it's stand in a hole and look out.

@Gecko, I can’t disagree. I would prefer it be a snub nose, but at least they’ll have the cannon on it.

That new camo bus is an abomination. Other than the paint, it’s nothing like the original. Kind of like their bikes. Cheap crap painted up to look retro. They are the fast fashion of the bike world.

Thanks for the shot of positivity! This SE bus stories would make a good book. I have an OM Dura that I use as my townie/beer run bike (under 8 minutes is beerrun record). I call it my fun tractor. Cheers Knievel!
