Hugs for everybody.

Everything's great, am I right?
In these parts anyway, everybody's talking about 'The Odyssey', which at least fifteen times a day leaves me open to saying 'well then, you odyssey deez nuts'.
I have peaked.
Relatedly, and in a most unfortunate turn of events, Honda and Sony have pulled the plug on the Afeela project, and while I was positively beside myself with excitement at the thought of asking random Afeela owners if they'd like a feela deez nuts, I also have a notion that I might have had something to do with its demise.
At any point in your day thus far have you wondered what my new Donkelope looks like with the replacement fork?;

It had a lovely handmade raked fork on it before, but I don't like raked forks, so Greg ordered me up this beaut from Merry Sales, and we've been cooking with gas ever since. I still think tan wall tires are ug AF, and this thing is positively screaming for some Papa Bruce Rock 'n Roads, but the fork cashed me out of a complete weekend's tips, so I'll just have to live with them for now, and suffer through the indignity of looking like a hipster douchebag.
Unless of course someone out in the internet world wants some practically brand new René Herse Fleecers, I'll make you a deal.
That said, I love my new bike, and I look forward to many years of bad decisions on it.
Also, so yinzers don't think I'm some high falütin so-and-so throwing around cash for a custom built bike... This was a rig Greg built for last year's Made show, which had been hanging on his shop wall since. He let me borrow it for a bit and then proposed we make a trade for a painting of his beloved dingdong Kyber, which some 30 hours later I happily concluded;

I think I posted the completed painting previously, but if not, here it is.
I'd argue that I got the better end of the deal, but art is subjective, and Greg's real happy with the exchange, so there you go, and Bob's your uncle.
Moving on- Was anyone here a fan of the seminal '90s fanzine ANSWER ME!(?);

I certainly was, and I was a fan of at least one of Jim Goad's books as well. (Ironic that I mention one in this week's episode of Revolting). My only claim to fame was getting blocked by him on Twitter (Lance Armstrong also blocked me). In the years since, he turned into an even more bitter and shitty human being until recently I got word that he finally died. While trolling the internet recently, I came across the following commentary which sums his life, output, and death pretty succinctly;

What a wild epitaph. In short, it could be summed up with 'Jim was an incredibly talented writer who we thought only portrayed himself as a gigantic piece of shit, but finally revealed himself to be one, and now he's dead and no one will miss him.'
A good rule of thumb is to try and not live a life that leads people to write something like that.
Finally, and having said all of those words, how would you like the newest episode of Revolting?

It's like a hug, but of a virtual sort.
