I'm out of evens to can't.

The only thing keeping me on track and sane these days is a periodic reprieve from the increasingly insane news cycle is the knowledge that I'll be dead eventually, playing with RC trucks somehow always makes things feel better, (I built a little ladder bridge for the course Ive been working on);
-and my recently re-completed cross bike;

After a full weekend of working at the bar and riding bikes, I felt so tired I was thinking I might actually implode, but after my second nap on Sunday I was able to get it out and give 'er a tiny bit, and this is exactly how the bike was always supposed to be set up. Robert sent me a new set of Blue Collar branded Ransom Note®™© downtime stickers, which I will put on after I either give the frame the old rub-n-buff, or maybe have her stripped and re-powdercoated to a nice purple metal flake, which is after all, what I would be if I were a color.
But back to that little course I've been building for a second. For the last few years, some friends of mine and I have been talking about pissing off to the woods, and just cutting some little trails. Why, Trail Boss even said they'd flow us a couple tools to use for the project. Alas, talk is cheap and we never got our acts together. Enter another friend of mine who said she wanted to build one in her yard.
Never one to turn down the opportunity to dig a hole, I got after it, and with the addition to a whole bunch of rocks we've collected and some greenery, we've got it headed in a good direction.
Where we were a month ago;

and were we are as of last week;

Did I previously post photos of the little creek? If I did, I probably should again;

Oh my god, it's everything I dreamed of when I was little.
Here's little clip pf a shakedown run up the creek once I got it flowing;
Rebuilding the fence took bite out of the process, but we have a new load of rocks to drop today (I carried eight home in my messenger bag with me yesterday which I will deliver soon), and then there will be a yard or so of pea gravel which will really help things take shape.
This sort of thing was the type of project I always dreamed of doing in my yard when I had one, but it was never meant to be.
I appreciate my friend for encouraging these sorts of shenanigans in her space.
Let's see... What else do I have?
Oh yeah, the embargo has finally lifted on the new Shimano GRX 1x12 Di2;
Holy Toledo. Do we need 1x12 Di2? No, probably not. Do we absolutely want it? Yes, I think so.
I haven't seen this in the flesh yet, but I think I might get an opportunity to in the near future, and when I do, you can bet your ass I'll take a blurry, poorly cropped photo of it and post it here.
It is with that, I will now direct you to the very newest episode of Revolting;

It will give you one more thing to scream at the sky about;

@Anders- I haven’t, but I suspect that might be my favorite genre of film.
Have you seen Sorcerer (1977)? A great trucks-driving-slowly-across-rope-bridges movie.
