Just doomscrolling along.

Remember how simple life used to be back when we were avoiding the bummer life®™© and cutting our own hair®™©?
I had a dream the other night that I deleted all my accounts, missed a flight from Italy, and resigned myself to a life in the dolomites. That was the short version, anyway.
Granted, all I was wearing was a wet pair of burgundy boxer shorts, and a Minions towel (or it mights been a SpongeBob towel) wrapped around my waist. Shortly before I woke up, I bumped into my internet friend Andrea in a cafe and decided to sit down for a coffee before making the decision to try and stay.
Perhaps this is what the future might hold for me? Letting go of any notion of what may or may not be life's path has been a hard lesson for me.
In the here and now however, might I please direct you to the newest skate video that's set to blow your mind?
Watch it now, or watch it later. It doesn't really matter just as long at some point you do. That Ryan Maddox is just an absolute force of nature.
Also, just so you are aware- Writing today's post was postponed considerably because I had to enjoy that along side of a pot of coffee. I suffer so you don't have to.
Also, while we're on the topic of favorite prolific producers, The Hives have just released the third music video from their forthcoming record, 'The Hives Forever, Forever The Hives', which is the second record in a year or less;
Damn, sons. Leave some cool for the rest of us.
I look forward to including this in a Revolting podcast music pick of the week, and then have Lee St. Clair shit on it.
And while we're on the topic of cool shit the internet has to offer, I was recently done a real solid honor by one Michael Ferrentino when he published the following article, featuring this photo of my compatriot Blue Collar Robert and me in the midst of one of his 18 mile laps aboard a tiny bike back around 26 years ago;

Anyway, I had a nice long phone conversation with the aforementioned Ferrentino yesterday morning, which is saying something because I hate talking on the phone.
Besides talking about the new crop of people living in Colorado referred to as 'SFH' (Stupid Fucking Hats), aging out of usefulness in a capitalistic model, the benefits of rest, renouncing American citizenship, being a hermit, and generally how everything is fucked, he told me that he just made all of the Grimy Handshake archives available here;

'Now is all the time we have' indeed.
Go forth, if you want to read all of the best that cycling journalism has to offer.
Naturally, a close second would be the Cycling Independent, where we house the Revolting podcast, the newest episode of which is right here;

I hope all of this helped to stop your scrolling if even for a moment.
The doom will always be there tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip on the Grimy Handshake! I used to love reading those pieces in BIKE back in the day. Also, it’s sweet that The Hives are still busting out audio awesomeness.
Keep on keepin’ on.
I live in Colorado, only been here for 18 years…wear a stupid fucking hat almost everyday.
