Let's sit and have a chat.

Let's sit and have a chat.

I'm back from the cuts and my hermitting ways (I'm a bit of a hermit poser, if I'm honest) with at least a partially renewed sense of vigor, but man, does it feel good to go away. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna do it again soon just to make sure I love it as much as I think I do. It's always best to be sure.

I posted a few images up over on the Grahams, but for those not dipping their toes in that particular cess, I'll toss a few top here for your edification;

It was f-ing glorious and I look forward to getting back to it as soon as possible.

I got a hit on the mail bag this week from Ben, which I would like to share now;

"Hey Stevil,

I was doing lift access bikes yesterday and a fellah in line behind me asked "What would Dan Zig do?" I was completely unprepared to answer his question, and he had another question, "Who's Dan Zig? Like your buddy?"

I had this one handled "Oh, Glenn Danzig, from The Misfits." Thought that might clear things up. "Oh, I don't know, I haven't been biking for very long." Again at a loss for words, but it was my turn to get on the lift.
Thought you might like that one, or have a few answers to what dan zig might do.

Keep on being rad,
Ben"

As I replied to Ben, "oh, you know Daniel Zigg? He's the guy who invented superglue."

In other news, anybody remember the Swobo shirt depicting this scene?

Well, that's my old buddy Robert Ives of Blue Collar Bikes fame after infamously doing himself with some craft beer and weed at some Sea Otter Classic or another many years ago. The following Monday his boss told him and the other two Amigos that ever since they'd been riding single speeds, their lives had been on a crash course with self destruction, and the rest as they say is history.

Well, I'll be damned if that so and so didn't surprise me with the fully restored chair on which he was sitting on that fateful day;

Until it is, how this isn't solidly in the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame will remain a mystery.

In business news, I would be remiss not to mention that the good folks at PDW did me a solid and sewed some Demerit Badges on a selection of their Drinkamabobs and if you'd like one for yourself, I have a batch ready to go right now;

Lastly in closing, I would like to invite you into conversation with the 182nd episode of Revolting;

Show me a person who doesn't like a periodical chat, and I'll show you a true hermit.

John- Was that the one I guest edited on, that was laid out to look like a fanzine by chance?

Stevil

I remember the pic of your friend Robert Ives from Dirt Rag Magazine. It is one of the best issues in Print media history.
