No time like the present to procrastinate.

No time like the present to procrastinate.

I mean, that's good advice for everyone else. Not me though. I get things done with at least a ten to fifteen minute buffer, these weekly posts included, and with that remaining abundance of free time, I can reflect on a bunch of other stuff I might eventually do.

Case in  point, the pile of various documents I've needed to get shredded for the last year. At this point, it's just a piece of office furniture next to my desk.

Not all of us have time to take a week and a half off of work, drive to the desert with 80,000 other losers and potentially get assaulted, murdered or just die though.

But hopefully some of us will have time to take a weekend off for the upcoming SSCXWC right here in the furthest corner of the PNW;

I'll be in and out, and along with a few Kona Bikes dirts, I think will be handling co-duties at one of Saturday's feats of strength stops which will be a throwback to the days of my old Santa Cruz Wednesday Night Rides. As for a majority of shenanigans, I unfortunately have bar duties for most of the weekend. If you happen to be coming to town, swing in and I likely will have a cold can of Rainier or two for your hand.

If you do plan to attend, please remember, if you don't want the tattoo, don't win.

(Chris Jones and Julie Krasniak both refused the tattoo in 2011, and I would be remiss not to bring this up again and forever.)

Which reminds me… I still need to get my 1999 SSWC 25th place tattoo, an idea that was officially endorsed by not only the promoters, but Marla Streb, and Travis Brown themselves. Unlike Adam's 2015 tattoo, I might even get the initials correct;

Perhaps that will be my next and final adornment, and with it,  I'll get some dread affliction I've somehow avoided lo these many years;

Moving on to a tip from a wildly talented skateboarder named Tanner Shay who recently turned me on to the wholly egregiously offensive act of AI skate clip/thirst traps such as those in the final observations here;

Pay close attention folks. Nothing's off limits.

This timeline blows, and I'm reminded of this page I wrote for a fanzine I made in 2012;

I still stand by it.

And with that, let us dip our toes in the newest episode of Revolting, which without technology wouldn't exist at all;

Take a wild guess which one of us is Sacco, and which one is Vanzetti.

It'll give us something to do until something better comes along.
