On the road again.

On the road again.

Once again, I beat feet to the southland to babysit my boy, but not before doing an airplane drawing featuring some of the dumbest shoes since Crocs;

Flat toed Chucks?

Genie hoopers?

Granted, I'm the first to admit that I don't know fashion, but I know what's fucking stupid, and those are.

Anyhow, immediately upon entry the His Fuzziness and I began chopping it up real solid-like;

He's still doing real good. There have been a small scare or two since my last visit, but his diet's been adjusted, his surgeries have been completed, and now it's just a matter of keeping him properly hydrated, and perhaps knocking a pound or two off of his rolly-poly body.

While I was in the Bay Area, I'd promised myself that I would sneak into the MOMA to see the Unity Skateboards show I helped move a piece for this past July.

It was everything I'd hoped to see and more;

I'm so proud of those kids, and was truly honored to have one of the Cher decks I put out a bunch of years ago included in the installation to boot.

Moving along, I was also quite excited for the Jay Howell opening that evening at 111 Minna;

I was quite looking forward to finally meeting him as well, but he had troubles with his own fuzzy buddy so he had to haul ass back south in order to deal with that. Instead, I headed inside ahead of opening time and slapped hands with the gallery owner, and one of my oldest friends, Big Dave;

I was bummed to miss the opening, as I understand a number of longtime friends who I haven't seen in years were there but my cup was feeling pretty full as it was so I bailed.

Moving on from some Bay Area legends to another,  recently Vice has put out this mini-documentary about a long time acquaintance of mine named Max. He's a really good dude, and shining a proper spotlight on him was long overdue;

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't longed for one of his bikes for years, but I'd be a poseur with anything more than a clapped out little 250 cafe racer anyway. I know my limits, and how far out of the yard I should stray.

Like so, if anyone was looking for an appropriate gift for me;

Now, in news of OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT, from John Danger I present you with this;

If this strikes your fancy, a pre-order for the new 7 Songs For Spiders is open now

Saints be praised.

Now then, with the curtain falling on today's efforts, I'll direct your attention to the new episode of Revolting;

Having gotten all of this off my chest, I suppose it's best to say 'until next time, I'm out the door and on the road'.
