Lets make a weird party.

Lets make a weird party.

Tighten your chin straps, and tape your tits up. We're about to embark on the normalest type of human experience you could hope for.

First things first, and really, let's get into just about the only thing I have to discuss here today. See, weeks before all of these recent events with my folks was even a twinkle in our daddy's eye, upon the announcement of Rocket From The Crypt's annual Halloween show, I decided I'd do something nice for myself and book a trip down to see friends and my favorite band quick before winter inevitably pulled down its pants and took a six month dump on my head.

Well, obviously, in light of all that's transpired in the interim, this perhaps wasn't such a wise financial choice, but my tickets were nonrefundable, and the world's probably going to soon end at the hands of a bunch of stuffed-shirt shit heel baby dick politicians, so what the heck, right?

Lucky for me, the day before I left I came down with the plague that's been fucking everyone up, but undeterred, I started powering the absolute ass out of thousands of milligrams of vitamin C and Yin Chiao (my secret weapon), and by Friday evening I felt 75% so it was off to the races;

For those who are maybe a bit late to the party, this record is the result of long lost recordings from the 'Scream, Dracula, Scream' sessions in which they recorded live to tape. It's all of your favorite slick-ass Dracula songs, but far more punishing and stitched back together, just like its namesake. Being that Rocket is amongst my all time favorites, I was quite excited that all of this was simultaneously occurring, and that I (at least at the time) had a little bit of financial flexibility. I'll have no regrets until the credit card bill arrives.

Anyway, so that was the story of 48 hours in SD and I'm sticking to it. It was a good reminder to periodically live your life for you, and no one else.

Also, as I was standing in the violently over sold crowd at the House of Blues, the memory of first seeing them at the Gilman Street Project in 1993/1994 came rolling back into the old bean, and I smiled a sweaty smile that we're all still here.

If you'd like to watch a video of the boondoggle, I came across one here. Enjoy if you like.

Now that we've covered all of that, here's a fun thing I caught wind of a few weeks ago and was sworn to secrecy about…. I'd heard that the mayor of Curbtown, Barker Barett was getting a surprise signature model from There Skateboards, and they'd planned a super surprise secret presentation just this past Sunday.

Now, obviously I was unable to attend, though I promised I'd be there in spirit, and in the wake of the celebration was able to poach a sneaky photo of the man of the hour;

Blessed be all who attend the church of the 313.

I don't know when the new BB deck will be available on the site but I have it on good authority that it will be soon. If this is a thing that strikes your fancy, please to keep eyes peeled on the There site, and snag yourself a plank when they land.

Now that we've gotten through all of that, let's now get to the part at least some of us have been waiting for- The end of today's effort obviously, but also for the long anticipated 250th episode of Revolting;

A couple of dudes hanging out in a shitter?

It's the weirdest party I've got.
