Wandering that road.

Did you know that walking for 30-60 minutes per day can improve confidence, stamina, energy, weight control and life expectancy and reduce stress. It can also reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, bowel cancer and osteoporosis?
I happened to learn this by reading the comments of the video for Pantera's 'Walk'.
As a matter of fact, between a conversation with an 88 year old man I met in an elevator the other day, and an article I came across on the matter, just plain old leg strength in general is good for so many more facets of general health than they ever previously considered, so keep doing what you're doing.
Before we get into any of the matters that don't matter, it was forty years ago this past Sunday the world lost the real God of Thunder, Cliff Burton;

I encourage anyone reading these words to put on Anesthesia and air-play the entire thing on a pool cue, and while doing so, concur the image of Pentabike Dave doing just that at various house parties through the late 80s.
I once had a t-shirt that said 'it should have been Lars' but that was a bridge too far even for me.
Anyway, probably suffice to say, Cliff's short run here made the musical world anyway, a considerably better place.
Another thing that happened four decades (and change) ago was Minor Threat played their last show at the Lansburgh Cultural Center in Washington, D.C;

I swear I'll never fully be able to wrap my mind around the passage of time.
A totally different thing that might or might not ultimately make the world a better place is the imminent arrival of the 2026 SSCXWC;

It was in this post when I described walking the venue and plotting various course options. I'm not entirely clear what the organizers have finally landed on but it's probably gonna be berserk. As I mentioned, due to a stupidly packed work schedule, I'm likely only gonna be able to help out with part's of Saturday's feats of strength qualifier. The only hints I can give are to bring an appetite and practice breathing through your nose.
I chatted with a fella named David who I believe is the VP over there at Chrome Industries the other day and the hint I just provided here is 100% more than I offered him.
Speaking of which, I dropped a little teaser somewhere in the socials shortly after the aformentioned phone call (again, whenever that was), that I can toss up here;

These are the very preliminary graphics, and at this stage, I'm not really sure the direction this will go, but I'm pretty stoked that they thought to tap me for the project and I look forward to seeing what develops.
Already people have messaged me and asked for me to ask them to bring back the knickers, the merino hooded woolie, and I personally thought their skateboard backpack was one of the greatest bags ever (but I already have one, so it doesn't really matter to me);

(Screen grab taken from my magnum opus because I can't find the original glamour shots.)
I just want the same good fortune for others, as well but time will tell.
I guess having addressed all of that, as we all begin plotting our departure from one another's presence I'd like to present the newest episode of Revolting;

It's with that I'll quote one of history's most passionate advocates of traveling by foot.
'Walk on home, boy.'
