I like Thanksgiving. I mean, I’m down with the food and the drink and the Twilight Zone marathons… A lot. But to have a day when it is actually a common practice to acknowledge the things in your life that you are appreciative of is a very good thing indeed. I like to reflect on these things regularly, but considering the theme of the day, I’m going to lay a couple out here for you now.
This year’s running of the SSCXWC is in the books and all I have to show for it is permanent body damage.
No, seriously… I think I broke myself.
At any rate, it’s gonna take me another day or so to get my thoughts straight. In the meantime, look on the internet for the carnage. It’s probably everywhere. What I can say is that I didn’t think race promoter Murphy Mack and his henchmen could pull this off. As a matter of fact, I wasn’t even sure that it should happen. I mention this because now that the weekend is in the rear view mirror, I will declare without pause and all apologies for my previous perspective, that this year’s festivities were brilliantly, and flawlessly executed.
It was truly a shitshow of Caligulan proportions.
