Same beat, same drummer.

Hello and good day.
It occurred to me recently that I've droned on with considerable detail regarding recent wrist issues, (mostly here, if you're curious), but an exciting turn of events is after a bleary-eyed flower delivery to my mom on Sunday, I thought it might be a good idea to ride my skateboard. The weather was beautiful, I'd just worked two shifts totaling 28 hours of the previous 48, so exhaustion was white hot, and I imagined if I could only keep from falling down, everything would be great.
How does that adage go? "The best laid plans, something-something"?
Well, gravity and fucking terrible foot placement got the best of me, and my freshly surgicized wrist got the banjaxing of a lifetime;
After coming home and cleaning myself up, I took a nap, some Advil, and a bit of time to reflect on why I consistently make such bad decisions. Surely I broke a metatarsal bone. There's no way my hand would hurt this bad just because of further trauma to already traumatized tissue.
I finally made the decision to get an x-ray, which marked my fastest time through the ER ever at right around 90 minutes, but used the downtime wisely to finish the third installment of John Reis interview in the new issue of Razorcake;

Turns out I just sprained the shit out of bruised tendons, so basically, I have a partially inoperative hand at the end of my left arm, and a swollen club on the end of my right;

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, the play was great.
Ok, so I got that nonsense out of the way. Let's get onto other things. Yinzers have no doubt heard about the Aadam Jacobs 'No Tape Left Behind' project, yes?;

The short version is this guy recorded somewhere in the neighborhood of a trillion shows in and around Chicago over a span of time that ranged somewhere between 10 to 50 years. (I read an article about it but I forgot all of the details). I hadn't done much digging but just yesterday was quite plussed to come across this RFTC show at Fireside Bowl (RIP) in 2000;

(Not the Fireside Bowl, but definitely the correct time period.)
My gosh, do I adore them so much. I hope it never comes out that Speedo was a visitor to Epstein Island.
But perhaps not as much as Kristen Ferrell hopes that William Shatner isn't on the list;
Anyhü- Now that we've covered all of that, how would you like to visit the new episode Revolting?;
As always, we're the same drummers, and it goes without saying we've pounding out the same beat.

Dang…you are scaring the shit out of me as I shake the cobwebs off these 52y/o and hop back on the board. Be well friend and thanks for the RFTC show link!
Stevil!!!!
Drummers and their wrists…
Besides looking forward to having the opportunity to fix your choppers, I will bestow a pair of these upon you. Perhaps get some sooner. Otherwise I can only deduce that you seem to enjoy being out of commission on the regular. https://triple8.com/products/wristsaver-wrist-guards?srsltid=AfmBOoplwx5pn-xHM-UyNbkCL_eJV_z2ch0e8mVJsKQQP1PVHdUflgRj&variant=32225249525897
