I used to play in an orchestra in FL. The lead clarinet player was a HUGE roller coaster guy and he played hookie to go up to ride Apollo’s Chariot on the day it opened. He ended up getting his picture taken accidentally by a reporter and was busted by management when the story ran. They had flown in a replacement player and were pretty pissed to find out he was lying. Fun times:)

Don’t get too excited, I’m just a lowly drummer(percussionist.) Here’s another good one. I started playing in the group in highschool and was part of a pops performance featuring Randy Newman. One of the pieces called for a starter pistol. After the show I was backstage putting away the “pistol” and accidentally discharged it in the midst of abt a dozen string players(actual symphony musicians.) Almost got myself fired right then and there. If it hadn’t been a 3rd tier orchestra in the south my tambourine and triangle playing days would’ve been over lol.
