I’ve been hoping that somebody here (me) will get it together in the next couple of seasons to host a 3-race “vintage” cx series.
Steel frames, down-tube or bar-end shifters, wool shorts, and clips and straps.
And a mud bog.
I’ve been in DH races similar to that.
CX racers don’t want to go uphill. No way they would do that.
Oddly, I’d likely excel in those conditions; I’m good at walking and I’m strong so I can carry heavy things. Slow is my pace- I can dig it.
I’ll be moving like that tomorrow. Unfortunately it will be on dry, flat ground.
