Moving right along.

With last week’s stellar effort just in the rear view mirror I really have nowhere to go but down, and by God, if I’m going down, you’re coming with me.

First things first, I’d like to post the very newest and hot off the presses Danny MacAskill clip;

Goddamn he’s amazing, and goddamn I miss that weather.

Secondly, I would like to post a dispatch from our friends over at Portland Design Works.

Some, or a few, or perhaps none of you might recall this post from about a month ago when I debuted their fancy new cargo net;

Well, I’ll be damned if the old beans don’t step up and come through even more and hook me up with their newest offering, the Lüt Bag pictured here on the post office floor seconds after pulling it from the box;

-And pictured here doing what it’s supposed to do;

I’ve never fancied myself a bike commuter, per se. I mean, I’ve commuted by bike since forever, but I was just a person riding their bike places. These developments make me feel like I might actually deserve a free donut and coffee whenever the next Bike To Work Day happens.

If only I had a work to ride to.

I do sincerely thank PDW for their consideration, and I look forward to the next rainy ride during which I can keep my fresh loaf of potato jalapeño cheese bread protected from the elements.

Also, if anyone knows where I can buy a loaf of potato jalapeño cheese bread, I’m all ears.

Moving on, Sevo rolled through with some goods regarding the one of the cats who helped stop the shooter at the recent horror show in Colorado Springs, and how folks might help support him and his because he’s clearly a solid fella worthy of it, and also because beer is good food;

Morning Stevil,

Well as you know some terrible shit happened here in the town I live in recently, the Club Q Shooting. No one I know was there that night, but have many friends that could have been and many who had friends killed or injured or just flat out scarred for life.

Gut wrenching and still trying to process it all. But the guy who stopped the shooter, Rich Fierro, he and his family own Altrevida Brewing Company here in town;

They have a webstore with merch and gift cards, and we wonder if you could share the link to the store, as well as the site.

And hey, if people can’t buy anything if they could just like their IG and FB pages it sure can’t hurt.

They make great beer too and it’s popular with the cycling community. So if anyone happens to get this way to ride, well it’s just 2 min off the interstate and not far from the trails should anyone who follows ya end up this way.

My gut says these folks will do some good stuff for the community moving forward because of the attention they’re getting and well, it all helps.

Thanks in advance.
Sevo

Though it’s no secret what my stance on the topic is, I simply don’t understand how people’s right to bear arms trumps the rest of our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These ghouls who oppose this idea can eat a dick, and Rich Fierro is both the hero we need and deserve.

In other news, I’ve made some noise here and there about a forthcoming book that Chris McNally and I have been plotting for a number of years featuring a selection of our plane drawings;

I’ve included one of mine above as a visual reference, and an assurance that those done by Chris are much better.

Anyway, I’ve been thinking about this project done by my friend Packard Jennings;

And I was brain storming how I could incorporate something along those lines with our book.

Eventually a fellow named Brock sent me a message who it turns out actually does those illustrations for various airlines (as did his uncle, and his grandfather before him). I did a drawing of a guy doing a front flip, and he did the rest of the heavy lifting to fulfill my vision;

I’m not entirely sure what the eventual plan for this will be, but whatever it is I’m sure will cost me far more money than it will make.

Now to discuss some really important matters, might any of you recall this recent ‘One For The Weekend’?

I’ve encouraged people to watch it and not let their short attention span not get the better of them. It’s really that good.

So when Zeb texted me the other night letting me know there was a new one, I was positively chuffed;

And for the record, I’ve never once in my entire life used the word ‘chuffed’. That’s how chuffed I am.

If the only thing on the internet was Bobby Fingers videos, I wouldn’t complain even a little.

Lastly, as has become habit here on the AHTBM website, I’d like to to direct you to the newest episode of Revolting;

As I type these words, I’m still listening to it so I can’t say one way or another if it’s any good but we talk about gravel racing. Everybody loves gravel racing. I mean, how can it be bad?

I hope you enjoy it, or not.

Either way, along we’ll keep moving.

Spread this like it's sick

    That Bobby Fingers video was one of the best things I’ve seen all year.

    Every time I’ve seen the art of the guy front flipping onto the slide I hear him go “HUP” in my head, and it just makes me laugh harder.
