Tuesdays come whether we want them to or not.

Does anybody remember the above depicted book?

It was one of my favorites when I was small, but reflecting on the inevitable arrival of Tuesday lead me to thinking about the monster at the end of the book and much like in Grover’s case, that maybe it won’t be as bad as one might assume.

A stretch? Probably, but this is my reality…For at least the next ten to fifteen minutes anyway, you all are just living in it.

So, did you all catch this weekend’s ‘One For The Weekend’?

Holy cats, those Spaniards are something else. If there was an Olympics for white hot nerdery, I’d say the gold would be split 50/50 between them, and South Korea.

I can’t remember for certain, but I’m reasonably sure if I coulda documented it, my reaction it was something like this;

Between bouts of rain, this past weekend my crew ‘The Total Winners’, (the name of which was inspired by the utterance of a woman who randomly walked past us as we were sitting, minding our own business on the beach last summer) got hot with some of our own tiny truck action, and it was a sheer delight;



These three photos obviously heavily feature my own personal truck, and that’s because I love it, because it’s the best.

However, Traxxas is currently getting a gas face across all of the tiny truck land, and for those who are interested in such things, I was able to track a video down which concisely explains the discord;

To be fair, I don’t really have a horse in the race, but I do like independent manufacturers, and I don’t like bullies, so not that my opinion or perspective is worth much, but until this quandary gets sorted, TRX won’t be getting any more of my bread.

“The 800 pound gorilla in a cottage industry“? Indeed.

It would seem as though TRX is the Specialized of the little truck world, (at 12:25 Francis actually references S’s history of frivolous lawsuits) so for now, I’m fine throwing my money in a hole elsewhere.

Moving on to holier land… Are yinzers familiar with Scowl?

As a matter of fact, Eric from Portland Design Works even got ahold of me recently and offered me some thoughts from the woman who made him;

My mom is in town from Minnesota this week and she picked up your book off a side table in my living room. She thought it was funny and really dug it;

She said she has a really hard time with perspective when drawing and really envied how good yours was. Anyway, just wanted to pass that along.

Likewise, my mom also really likes it, so if you were wondering, two out of two moms agree- Nowhere Fast is a good book.

Finally, as I pull up stakes, and fix to get the fudge out of here, can I offer you a brand new new episode of Revolting?

At this stage of our existence it’s inevitable as a monster, or a Tuesday, but not nearly as fun as either.
