The mailbag is deep and random.

You never know what sort of volatile garbage might be present.

Upon initial inspection, I think I may have months of random detritus that’s been sitting in my inbox, all Most, some?) of which I’ve intended to put somewhere, and all (most, some?) of which I have not.

So it’s to both your and my dismay that I present it all for you now.

Good luck and I’m sorry.

First things first, Kate from Portland Design Works got in touch recently with a thing that those in and around Portland will want to mark their calendars about;

Big news! Metropolis Cycles and PDW are teaming up to bring you our first ever URBAN RAMBLE RIDE AND RAFFLE!! On Friday, June 23rd, join us for an evening of fun benefiting the NW Trail Sisters.

We’ll get the party started with a sweet giveaway from 5-5:30 PM! Enter to win a complete Kona bike, a Surly frameset, awesome bike gear from All-City, and PDW, and much more!;

Tickets are just $10.

After the raffle, our no-drop ride will roll from Metropolis at 5:45 PM! Join us for a leisurely journey to SE PDX, where we’ll post up for some beach hangs and bevs. All bikes and riders welcome!

While the ride will primarily be on pavement, please be aware there is a small stretch of off-road terrain towards the end of the ride.

Questions? Holler at PDW! sales(at)ridepdw(dot)com

It likely will be the most fun you’ll have on a bike that day.

In news of riding to my drive, I recently got one of them little FMS K5 Blazers, Fall Guy-ed it out, and took it out on a little jaunt;

Inspired by my riding to drive, or perhaps independently of it, my old compatriot Yafro has been doing his fair share of the same out in Colorado;

Is this whole entire site just gonna bee RC truck content?

Maybe.

A somewhat humorous thing is I was recently exchanging messages with a very funny fellow named Kyle Kinane, which if you’re unfamiliar, make yourself so;

Anyway, in the midst of our exchange, after thanking him for inspiring to buy new pillows, he said to me “I’m a shitty mountain biker, and even shittier BMXer. And I have a bunch of RC cars. I also drink too much… We might be the same dude.

It feels good to finally be recognized by greatness.

Though personally I wouldn’t consider myself a shitty mountain biker. At the very least I ride to my rides, which puts me just ahead of the curve of most folks these days it would seem.

It’s with that, I present to you sixteen year old Jake Kohn;

Do you know what I was doing at 16 years old? Lots of things, but absolutely none of them were achieving peak performance.

Holy christ.

Hey, how do you feel about a new episode of Revolting?;

I got you right here, good people of Knuckleheadingham.

Well, maybe my mail bag wasn’t as deep or random as I initially thought, but on the new episode we actually talk about bikes this week, so you know it’s gonna riveting.

Plus, you likely can’t get any more deep and random than that.

Spread this like it's sick
